What's On at The Beast: October 2026

Dated event guide. This guide covers dates through October 31, 2026. Details are retained for reference; consult the official organizer for current schedules and tickets. No future edition is implied.

The Basement East is at 917 Woodland Street, half a mile from The Eighteen. Ten minutes on foot. That distance is the whole argument for booking your stay around a show instead of the other way around.

Locals call it The Beast. This is the October 2026 calendar, replacing September’s, which has passed. Listings are a snapshot taken from the venue’s own calendar as of September 28, 2026; confirm any date with the venue before you commit, because bills move.

The first week

October 1 — Juice, with Claire Ernst. All ages.

October 2 — Blisspop presents Hot In Herre, a 2000s dance party. Later start than usual: doors at 8, music at 9. 18 and up.

October 3, 10, and 17: Greta Van Fleet. Sold out on the venue calendar for all three Basement East nights.

October 5 — Celebrating 30 Years of Bleach, with Pomegranate and Meadowglade.

October 7 — Willi Carlisle, The Universal Bubba Tour, with Dylan Earl. If you only get one night in this room in October and you want the thing East Nashville is actually good at, this is it.

October 8 — Finn Wolfhard, The Common Side Effects Tour, with Malcy. Sold out. All ages, which explains the sellout.

October 9 — Ace: A Celebration of the Life & Music of Bobby Weir.

The middle stretch

October 11 — GOLDEN: A K-Pop Kids Party. An 11 AM show, doors at 10:30, all ages. Worth knowing the room does daytime family programming, because most people assume it doesn’t.

October 12 — Russian Circles, with Pelican. Two instrumental heavyweights on one bill in a 500-cap room. Bring earplugs and mean it.

October 13 — Mind Enterprises, with Fred Fancy.

October 14 — Olivia O’Brien, The PIXIE Tour, with Maya Donovan. All ages.

October 15 — Ax and the Hatchetmen, The Late Checkout Tour, with The Hails.

October 16 — The Renaissance Room.

October 18 — After. All ages.

October 19 — The Linda Lindas, with Grace Bowers. All ages. Grace Bowers is a Nashville guitar player and the local half of this bill is not the undercard.

The last full week

October 21 — Aaron Lee Tasjan, album release show, with Madeleine Kelson. Hometown release night at his hometown room.

October 22 — Chasing Abbey.

October 23 — Michigander, with Chapel and Noah Torralba.

October 24 — My So-Called Band, 90s Halloween. 21 and up. This lands on the busiest day of the month in this neighborhood; see the October 24–25 pileup before you plan the evening.

October 25 — Edgehill, The Moving Out Tour, with Palmer and Meadowglade. Earlier than the usual: doors 6:30, show 7:30.

October 26 — Wednesday 13, with Dead on a Sunday and Above Snakes. Also an early one, doors 6:30.

October 27 — Porch Light, the Hush Tour, with Hotel Fiction. All ages.

October 29 — Donny Benét, with OTNES.

October 30 — The Bends.

Halloween, twice

October 31 runs two separate events. The Rock & Roll Playhouse Halloween Spectacular for Kids is a late-morning show, doors 10:30, music 11:30, all ages. Then Blade Rave takes the room at 9 PM, 21 and up. Same address, entirely different night. Check which one you bought.

How to do it

Check the venue first. Ticketing runs through TicketWeb. Sellouts and support acts change; this page is a dated record, not live availability.

It is standing room. Doors are usually an hour before the show, though several October dates break that pattern. Get there early if you want the rail.

Eat first, on this side. Five Points Pizza or The Pharmacy before. Veselka is next door at 921 Woodland if you want pierogi at an hour when nothing else is serving. Attaboy after.

Then walk home. No surge at midnight, no circling, no negotiating who is driving. Street parking here is rumor and the paid lots fill by eight.

The standing guide

The history, the tornado, why this room matters to the neighborhood — that is all in the venue guide. This post is the calendar; that one is the context.
